COOC 2026 Concludes Successfully, Bringing Global Expertise to Office Orthopaedics
The international edition of Current Office Orthopaedic Concepts (COOC) 2026 concluded successfully in Pune, bringing together more than 500 delegates, eminent international and national faculty, and leading experts in non-surgical orthopaedics. Over three days, the conference created a dynamic platform where science, clinical practice, technology and international collaboration came together to shape the future of musculoskeletal care.
A defining highlight of COOC 2026 was the signing of two landmark international Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs). The first was signed with KPJ Healthcare University, Malaysia, represented by Vice Chancellor Dr. Tunku Kamarul Zaman. The partnership aims to promote academic collaboration, research, faculty exchange and skill development in orthopaedics. Adding a significant opportunity for delegates, Dr. Zaman announced full scholarships for COOC 2026 delegates to pursue specialised musculoskeletal courses at the university.
The second MoU was signed with the Spanish Society of Regenerative Medicine, represented by its President, Dr. Pedro Bernáldez. The collaboration opens avenues for faculty exchange, scientific meetings, collaborative research and knowledge sharing, particularly in musculoskeletal ultrasound and orthobiologics.
COOC 2026 was also a milestone in academic publishing, with the launch of three specialty books authored by Dr. Kiran Shete: Orthosonology, a practical guide to musculoskeletal ultrasound; Radiofrequency in Office Orthopaedics, focusing on evidence-based interventional RF techniques; and SRP Rehabilitation (Spinalogy Rehabilitation Protocol), presenting a structured multidisciplinary rehabilitation approach.
The scientific programme was designed around practical learning. It featured four hands-on workshops, live procedure relays, masterclasses, scientific sessions, debates and expert discussions, covering contemporary advances in office orthopaedics and minimally invasive musculoskeletal care.
Beyond academics, COOC 2026 introduced the Green Initiative, under which a fruit-bearing tree was planted in the name of every participating faculty member. The initiative reflected the conference's commitment to creating an impact that extends beyond the classroom and operating room connecting knowledge, sustainability and social responsibility.
For Dr. Kiran Shete, Founder and Course Director of COOC 2026, the conference represents a vision of bridging the gap between evolving orthopaedic science and everyday OPD practice through practical, evidence-based and minimally invasive approaches.
With international partnerships, hands-on education, new academic publications, scientific exchange and a meaningful environmental initiative, COOC 2026 has established a new benchmark for international orthopaedic conferences reaffirming its mission to advance evidence-based, minimally invasive and patient-centred musculoskeletal care.
